I am somewhat obsessed. Ah well.
Quotes! Last time, I forgot to include quotes. There's a few, not that I can remember most of them. But, thanks to people online that do and people who went to the Sydney show yesterday and will go to the Melbourne show tonight...=]
Okay!
"Muuum! I don't want to go to school today!" Gerard at the end of Mama, Brisbane show
"A surprise party? For me? You shouldn't have!" Gerard...I think it was during the solo in You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison, Brisbane show
"I'm still not f--king cool." Gerard just before I'm Not Okay
"<Wrong lyrics> Aw shit." Gerard, Sydney show.
"We were going to play Understanding a Car Crash by Thursday, but then we'd have to put our guitars in f--king drop-d tuning." Gerard...random interval.
"<Puts on random heart shaped red sunnies>" Frank =D

And I just realised I wanted to upload chapter two. Don't read. This is Part One: a Murder, a Murderer and the People Who Have to Sort Out the Whole Mess
O____o This was really awesome! It took MCR ages to set up, so whenever the sound guys came onto the stage, everyone cheered. What was really funny was there was this guy who was tuning Frank's guitar, and when he came on to do that, there were a hell of a lot of people screaming, including me. (When in Rome, do as the Romans do =] ) Yus. So this sound guy must have been doing "Whoa. These crazy ass fans are cheering because I'm tuning a freaking guitar!" Anyway, the lights went out just before they came on, and the place just blew up. They used a lot of pyrotechnics which was cool, and when they fired up their opening number (This Is How I Disappear) they had these propane cannons spitting out these huge fireballs. It was cool.
Okay. This is a track listing for the night. I know they played This Is How I Disappear (fully equipped with propane cannons) first - such a great opening song, I reckon - and Famous Last Words last, but I'm not sure about the stuff in the middle. Famous Last Words was awesome and was equipped with fireworks, propane cannons and this thing that went BANG! right at the end of the song just as they walked off.

17. Famous Last Words
Them playing the Desert Song was so good. It's a great song: Ray Toro was on acoustic, Frank Iero was on electric doing all the powerchords and there was Gerard and that's it...and maybe the keyboard guy, but I didn't really see him. Most people got out their mobile phones and waved em - I certainly did. This was their B-side for the night, and I reckon it's the best one they could have picked, except for maybe Heaven Help Us, which is the next most awesome song. Cancer was also a really great song, cause most people sang along and had their hands in the air along with their mobiles, swaying or whatever. I Don't Love You was another one like that - because it's a slow song, we were all waving our hands for as long as we could before they got tired. Sleep was probably the best arm-waving song, since in the verses, we waved our hands and choruses were great for stabbing the air with fists.
At the beginning of Prison, Gerard did his bit of improvisation in yelling, "Let me hear you all testify!" Needless to say that the crowd did just that screaming loudly. I think one of the best songs to watch was Welcome to the Black Parade, cause everybody sung the intro, and the whole crowd was jumping in the verses. And then Cemetery Drive...it was just awesome to see all the hands clapping above everybody's heads. When they played I'm Not Okay, the place just blew up. And same with House of Wolves. I think Mama was the funniest, cause everybody who knew the lyrics just loved say "All the shit that I've done with this f--k of a gun". I have to admit, that is a great line.
Ja. Needless to say that every single one of the songs was great.
Each and every one of My Chemical Romance had really great stage presence. Gerard was always getting the crowd involved, whether it was just getting on their feet, or clapping to the song, or putting their hands in the air, or jumping or singing along or whatever it was...but everybody did as they were told =D The rest of the band just put their heart and soul into every song they played, and it was really great to watch and be a part of it all.
Just a bit of random rambling about the pyrotechnics and sound fx of the whole thing. Okay, first up the Mama war sounds. They were good, and it kinda just started off the song perfectly, cause everybody there who'd heard the record knew what a kickass song was coming up. Secondly, the drummer. I think his name was Tucker Rule, cause somebody said that he was the drummer from Thursday: he was a great drummer, even though it would have been great if Bob had been there. Thirdly, the guy on the keyboards. James Dewees, the frontman from Reggie and the Full Effect, was way sweet, and brought just a much needed aspect to the show. When the lights were down and the band members were having a drink and retuning instruments or whatever, this guy would just play these beautiful pieces in the minor scale and it just fit perfectly.
And there are a few things about the band members here. First up, my favourite band member for the night, the Master, the Genius, the Man with the Plan Ray Toro. He pulled off this awesome-ass guitar solo just before they began playing the song Teenagers. Gerard was like, "So put the f--king spotlight on Ray Toro!" and I tell you what, that performance was certainly spotlight worthy. Then there's Mikey ^_^. I love Mikey. Just before the beginning of Give Em Hell Kid, the stage was dark. Then, the spotlight was turned right on Mikey in the centre of the stage just as he starting playing his bit...Pure awesomeness right there. Then there was Frank, who managed to play a whole freaking song on the floor with a microphone wire around his neck. And, of course, he played his guitar vertically instead of horizonally ^_^ That was cool. And Gerard. Just before they started playing I'm Not Okay, Gerard was saying how he'd done all this stuff, he's in a rock band...whatever, and he's "STILL NOT F--KING COOL!" He also said something about them having a crash, and now everything being in drop-d tuning, but I don't remember all of that quote.
Yus. Well, I sung all seventeen of the songs they played, with screaming and cheering in the middle of that. By Thursday, my voice, apparently, had gone down several octaves and everytime I tried to go high with my voice, it cracked and I sounded like I was crying XD.
Circa Survive was the name of the band on before My Chemical Romance. Generally, I like Circa Survive and when I heard their studio stuff, they sounded alright. But live, Anthony Green just couldn't relay that same vocal performance in the studio to his vocal performance on stage: it sounded like he was straining to get up as high as he needed to. They weren't that great. The band that was before Circa Survive was called the Getaway Plan. They were okay, but nothing I thought was too special. I also found a good band from New Zealand. They're called All That's Left and they're and Indie band, and when I bought their album they actually encouraged me to rip the songs off it and spread it round! I spoke to the bassist, who was really funny. He had everything that he wanted to say written on these little bits of cardboard and he held them up when we asked him something, cause he anticipated the answer, and did so with much profiency!
And get this. I lost my mobile, $100 and the ticket that I needed to get my bag back. I did, however, find all three of these things, as well as meeting up with my cousin and seeing this person from school who'd taken the day off...lucky person. I got myself a nice t-shirt with the Black Parade Blimp on the front and the Australian tour dates on the back, and three badges and two stickers.
Well, that's about all I can say about this I think....O.o Except for maybe the part about when me and my friend were getting there. We were really excited, and were probably half hoarse before we actually walked in door six to our seats. We also got there just in time to see Circa Survive start playing, since we had to go through a whole whack of security checks. Woo for the person who managed to smuggle a camera in their shirt, who gave me some pictures! You rock!
Finally, something unrelated to My Chemical Romance. Jess, me and Achan have all reached 50k~! We're are all now winners for our first time doing nano, and me and achan are second time winners too, only because Jess has only done it one year! Haha! *Smites November*
